Boriches go to Washington

No, I didn't get lazy and fall off the blogger wagon. Our computer died about 2 months ago and we've been scrambling to get our hands on another one (for cheap!) So, thanx to my boss for updating the office computers and giving us one. Now, I will try to catch everyone up on the Borich fam... The first fun sharing moment is from early March when we got to go to Washington, DC, to meet up with my mom, who was at a conference there. We got to see all the usual sites (White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Cemetery) but we also took the kids (Joe included) to the Baltimore Aquarium, where Mykah got to see her 1st dolphin show. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see my mom!

Washington Monument

C'mon Max! Mykah being the best big sis ever

JFK & Jackie's graves at Arlington

The White House~it looks so much closer on TV! We didn't realize how far away it is from the street or we would've tried to take a tour.

The First Family?

The Baltimore Aquarium

We feel so blessed to be able to see the sights on this side of the country. There is so much history here and we hope to take in many, many more pieces of that history! BTW, we got to see the presidential motorcade~I have to admit, I got teary over the whole experience. If ever given the chance, go to DC...it's amazing!

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde gets a haircut!

My wonderful husband is under the impression that since his mom was a cosmetologist, the ability to cut hair is inherited. The dilemma: Joe thinks he can cut Max's hair at home, therefore, saving us money. The result is poor Max's buzz cut in the middle of winter and a very unhappy mama~(These pix of Max throwing a temper tantrum represent how I actually felt when I walked into the bathroom and saw the final result. Max is much cuter mid-tantrum than I am~think symbolism!)

The worst part was when Joe was trying to console me by saying, "This is how my hair was when I was a little boy." HMMMMM.... probably NOT the best choice of words, taking into consideration that my husband is gorgeous, but BALD.

As you can tell, Max seems unharmed! And I have to remember there is a good chance Max got hair from my side of the family and it will grow back~probably quickly.

Still cute, isn't he?!

Joe gets his braces off!!

So, next month would have been 2 years that Joe has dealt with being a "brace face" and he has been a trooper. We weren't sure they were going to come off today because we woke up to Mykah's school being closed and also Max's daycare, due to it raining ice chips. (NO, I'm not exaggerating. If you have never experienced an ice storm, it's a trip!) Lucky for Joe, his new orthodontist is a seasoned Central New Yorker and didn't cancel his day. Max has never, until today, seen Daddy without those funny metal things on his teeth. It's been very cute to watch him stare and touch tonight. My already hot hubby is on a whole new level now. I'm going to have to tattoo my name on his forehead or something to remind all the daycare ladies and the moms of the players that he recruits that are crushing on him that he's taken!

AFTER!!!!

WOW- ISN'T HE GORGEOUS?!
